Learn to Dive

Submerge courses are professionally tailored so that even new divers will learn and comprehend important underwater skill sets. It is fast and easy to start. We have an introductory program that teaches you the open water diving course and then continues with the Underwater Image workshop.

These complete programs are limited in size to ensure maximum skill development and safety for our students. Classes are limited to four students. In the water the maximum student/instructor ratio is 2:1. The open water course takes five to six intensive days. The Underwater Image workshop begins immediately following completion of the open water course.

Open Water Course Structure:

Knowledge development: To facilitate the learning process at home, in advance of the course, we encourage studying the manuals, completing the knowledge reviews, and watching several videos. On location classes on diving technology, basic physiology and physics provides the space to clear all doubts. At the end of the course there is a final exam.

E-Learning: Our program includes underwater image web-based teaching materials, discussion boards and email feedback from your instructor. The goal is to be mentally ready and aware of the most important skills you need to master during your water sessions.

Skills in confined waters: Shallow water or a swimming pool is the preferred method to master all the skills to dive with the highest level of safety and fun. Besides the standards to become a PADI certified diver, we add many of our own buoyancy control tips fundamental to underwater Videography and Photography.

Open water course dives: There are four dives in the ocean, to a maximum depth of 60 ft/18mt, in which the student apply the skills learned in confined waters. This introductory experience to the incredible life that surrounds the coral reefs provides the confidence in the student diving abilities.

Adventure dives: After the completion of the basic course, the next level of diving is encouraged by studying and experiencing advanced dive sites; one deep/wreck dive and one photo/video dive.

Special Photographer/Videographer Skills: Special skills to handle an underwater camera safely during all different phases of diving are one of the fundamentals of the course. This also includes buoyancy control, dive computer training and an introduction to Enriched Air.
