The School
Underwater images has inspired millions of people since the first movies of Jacques Cousteau.Those educational documentaries changed the way the world views the oceans and life on this planet, and encouraged millions of young people to study biology, environmental studies, oceanography, marine archaeology, film production and scuba diving, among other sciences and arts.
We envision Submerge as a School where people of all ages can learn about the oceans and coastal environment while having fun hands on experiences.
Submerge community programs includes field trips for schools, environmental art programs, professional divemaster instruction for young environmental leaders and Marine Protected Areas rangers training, among other programs.
Our School of Underwater Images is the first one entirely dedicated to introducing professional teaching of underwater video and photography for a broad range of people: From one day snorkeling experiences for kids to scuba divers with advanced technical skills.
All the programs are always taught with an artistic process oriented perspective, in the context of environmental education practices.
